Definition and interests
Motion design is a type of video which consists of putting graphic elements (texts, shapes, characters, etc.) into motion with the aim of energizing your communication. Creating animated images, in 2D or 3D, is an excellent means of communication. Indeed, these are generally short videos which allow a message to be conveyed in a synthetic, fun and dynamic way. Motion design helps attract attention: in fact, animations would attract the eye more than text or a frozen image. This type of video also allows you to convey a message in a simple way, while distracting the Internet user: it is a way to explain things in a fun and simplified way while requiring little concentration.
The stages of creation
Creating a video of this type goes through several stages that we will quickly describe to you:
- The script: this involves writing a script for the video
- The storyboard: it is a sort of drawn plan of the video,
- Graphic creation: use of the graphic charter to strengthen your identity
- Animation: assembly and movement of video elements
- Sound creation: voice-over, background music, sound effects, etc.
- Subtitles: allow the video to be understood if you do not have access to sound.
